Michael graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science.

Michael is an advanced surgeon, able to perform orthopaedic procedures and advanced soft tissue surgeries. He also has loads of experience with Birds & Exotics (snakes, lizards etc) and is a large animal vet. You could say Michael is the ultimate all-round super vet!

In his spare time Michael competes in Iron Man Triathlons both here and abroad. Ask him what he did on the weekend and he’ll probably tell you casually that he rode 160km on his bike then ran 14km. He’s up at 4.30am training before work too! Michael also loves a good Mocha in the morning.

Dr Helen graduated in 2004 from UQ. After working in Brisbane, Gold coast, and Toowoomba, she is happy to be back on the Sunshine coast.

Helen enjoys all things small animal, but especially loves challenging cases, ultrasound, long term medical management and soft tissue surgery. She currently has a dog Kaya (Ridgeback) and cat Merlin( Devon rex), ( the least number of pets she’s ever had – so more due soon).  In her spare time Helen loves to garden , get creative with mosaics , spend time in nature on bushwalks and laze at the beach.

Guiding Light

If Mountain View Vet Surgery was a boat, Gayle would be our lighthouse. She has been a fundamental team member for over ten years and we would be lost without her! Gayle has an amazing ability to ensure that everything is smooth sailing for everyone at every turn, for pets and their people -no matter how rough the seas can get. When she isn’t caring for your pets, Gayle loves spending time with her two wonderful boys and beloved husband.

Super Nurse

Erin never ceases to find the funny side to every scenario and works hard to make sure we all maintain our sense of humour. She effortlessly keeps the team, clients, and pets of Mountain View Vet Surgery smiling. In her spare time, Erin enjoys soaking up some sunshine at the beach and hanging out with her cat ‘Beans’ and dog ‘Maple’. As well as providing care for your pets, she has started to study human nursing at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

The Calm in the Storm

Kate's childhood was spent in and out of her Dad's Veterinary Practice, which is not surprising given they lived above the surgery!

Kate is a highly experienced veterinary nurse who brings her well-practiced skills and knowledge to work with her every day. She has a way with animals that never ceases to impress. Kate's calming presence is appreciated by all those around her, pets and humans alike! She has been a valued member of the Mountain View Veterinary Surgery team for many years now. When not at work, Kate enjoys spending time with her family and beloved pets.

Angie is an animal lover through and through and she brings a healthy dose of TLC for everyone and their pets to work with her every day. Angie is a tough, but sweet, cookie. She juggles working at Mountain View Vet Surgery and the Sunshine Coast Animal Shelter with caring for her much-loved grandchildren. When she’s not juggling like a pro, you’ll find her at home sharing her morning banana with her two rescue dogs ‘Harley’ and ‘Steffi’.

Maddy joined the Mountain View Vet Surgery team with the most serendipitous timing -the stars must have been in position! Her contagious spark for life keeps our team, clients, and pets all feeling the happiness life has to offer. She has completed two degrees, Psychology and Animal Ecology, and is our resident IT guru. When not sneaking an extra treat to your pet, Maddy loves hanging out with her three beloved cats ‘Gecko’, ‘Kiara’, and ‘Wilbur’.
